ICS is a nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization, which allows many donations to be tax-deductible for donors.
Make a Gift in Honor or Memory of a Loved One
Consider making a gift to ICS in memory of a loved one, in honor of a new baby, as a holiday gift, or in recognition of other celebrations. A contribution to ICS is a living memorial through the life of a child who has been helped. We will send a card to the honoree indicating that the gift was made in their honor or in memory of a loved one.
The Schmidt & Shi Endowed Legacy Fund
The newly established Schmidt & Shi Endowed Legacy Fund honors two individuals instrumental in the founding of ICS. Dr. William Schmidt served for many years as the Medical Director of Prisma Health Children’s Hospital—Upstate. Dr. Susan Shi is the former First Lady of Furman University. Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Shi, motivated by their lifelong passion to promote the wellbeing of children, encouraged the Children’s Hospital and the United Way of Greenville County to formally establish ICS in 2010. Both continue to guide ICS as active Emeritus members of the ICS Board of Directors.
