The Hello Family Spartanburg initiative is an alliance of over 60 partnered organizations providing services and resources to new families in Spartanburg, South Carolina. A 2021-2022 report of accomplishments confirms the success of this initiative. Among other accomplishments:

  • BirthMatters served 57 mothers and supported the births of 28 babies.
  • Family Connects provided 236 home visits to support newborn babies.
  • Quality Counts provided hundreds of books for over 46,000 total minutes of reading.
  • Triple P delivered educational programming to hundreds of individuals.

Working in close partnership with the City of Spartanburg and the Mary Black Foundation, ICS helped the community research and identify the programmatic priorities, secure funding and financing, and design the supporting Pay for Success transaction. ICS currently serves as the project manager and financial intermediary.
